In the beginning of the Mamma Mia trailer, you see Sophie putting letters in the mail and you hear a girl’s voice singing “I have a dream . . .” Next you see the three men—Bill Austin, Sam Carmichael, and Harry Bright—who could be Sophie’s father standing outside her door, telling her they’re there for the wedding. Further along in the trailer, you see the Mamma Mia movie starting to take shape with family and friends preparing for Sophie’s wedding, everyone celebrating together, and Sophie’s mom, Donna walking her down the aisle. You learn that Sophie will begin making a connection with each of the men who could be her father, and you see Donna reconnecting with the three men she once shared a relationship with. During the Mamma Mia trailer, excitement and suspense builds. Which man will turn out to be Sophie’s father? Will Donna rekindle her relationship with him, or with one of the other men? Will Sophie’s wedding bring them all together as one big, happy, non-traditional family?
